Treatment:This is a composite image of three scenes a few miles apart along the spectacular and rugged coast of Oregon, USA.
The rocks, just off-shore, were set against an uninspiring backdrop of sky. A distance up the coast the sky and the sea became more dramatic, they were photographed and so available for adding to the scene.
The combining and blending of the three images was achieved by using 'Layer Mask' within Photoshop. Like many so-called digital skills, a similar result could have been produced in the wet darkroom - subject to time, patience and cost.
